I'm trying to register a car in CA that I bought from out of state but the clerk told me I needed to take my car to the CHP for a VIN verification and gave me a CHP vin email to contact. All the VINs match on the car (windshield, door jamb, hood, etc). What should I bring or expect during this VIN verification?
