TW Exudate
Hi y’all,
So I’ve had my doubles for 3 months, however, my stud (flat back surgical steel) double had been causing some irritation and the earring was dirty. I tried washing it with saline while still in my ear, but it didn’t do anything. I had been using saline multiple times a day gently with a q-tip through the healing process for months and it didn’t really get irritated until maybe the last day or so? My hair had kept getting wrapped around it which I think may have added to it. I took the piercing out because it hurt and then immediately it was more angry. I was stupid and didn’t Google beforehand and it said to not remove it because the hole could close and it could get worse. I’m super stressed because I’ve never had this issue and obviously I don’t want my ear even more infected.
It’s currently 1am and I’m not sure what to do besides go to sleep and monitor it. Should I go to urgent care tomorrow if the swelling gets worse (I don’t have a GP).
Please help!!
