It this the worst designed kitchen/catering tool?

I've never picked up or used one of these that didn't have slimy oily dressing dripping down time side. Also, the hole is always too small for richer cream based dressings causing it to gloop out instead of pour. Is this the worst design you've seen in a kitchen or event setting? What beats it?

Have been making three every morning for my wife and I since Christmas. Didn't change anything, and for ABSOLUTELY no reason, this morning was perfect. It's almost more frustrating because now I know it's possible. Same beans, same runtime, same tamper... Sigh...
