Genre:
Point-and-click adventure
Estimated year of release:
Probably late 2000s / early 2010s. I played it during the Flash game era.
Graphics/art style:
2D, cute art style. More childish/cartoonish than Samorost, but with a strange atmosphere where the world felt huge compared to the small protagonist.
Notable characters:
You played as a small creature/guy trying to get back home or back to his family/hollow. I remember when game end little guy hug his mom (?) And I THINK he has no mouth
Notable gameplay mechanics:
Classic point-and-click puzzle solving.
Other details:
I think the game started with the little guy not listening to his mother/family and accidentally falling out of a tree hollow/nest. Then the wind carried him away on a leaf or maybe a dandelion.
I remember one scene in a forest with a bird that was cleaning/sweeping the ground to impress a female bird. I think the player needed to help somehow to progress.
I also vaguely remember a giant snail shell or some huge shell-like structure. (this part im not sure)
There was also a section where the little guy had to travel through underground tunnels/tunnels in the dirt.
The game had a cozy but weird feeling, like a tiny character traveling through a big scary world. I’m pretty sure it was a Flash/browser game.
Games I already checked:
- Samorost
- Samorost 2
Not 100% sure all memories are from the same game because I played many Flash point-and-click games as a kid. i hope i don't imagine it
