Hey Las Vegas folks — I’m co-teaching a 10-week Bitcoin course through UNLV’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) starting May 27. Thought this community might know people who’d be interested.
The course is called Bitcoin Basics: From Skeptic to Stacker and it’s built specifically for people who are curious but skeptical. We cover:
• What money actually is and how the current system works (and doesn’t)
• How Bitcoin works — no coding, no jargon
• The Fed, inflation, QE, and why they matter to your savings
• How to buy, store, and protect Bitcoin if you decide it’s right for you
• Common myths vs. what the data actually shows
The details:
• In-person at UNLV · Wednesdays 10:45am–12:15pm
• Starts May 27, 2026
• $49 OLLI membership covers the whole summer catalog — not just this class
• No technical background required. Seriously.
• Must be 50+ to join OLLI — this program is specifically for adult learners 50 and older
The vibe is thoughtful conversation, not a crypto pump. If you have a parent, neighbor, or friend who’s been asking questions about Bitcoin but doesn’t know where to start — this is the right room.
