"We made an adjustment to your account" letter

We had our taxes prepared by a local company this year. I just received a letter from the IRS stating that the amount paid didn't match the amount owed, and now they are trying to charge me a penalty and interest on the difference. I've never dealt with this before. I can pay the difference, but the penalty and interest sucks. What would you do in this situation?

Hey all,

I'm looking for doc management solutions with "dynamic templating", which I'm not even sure is the correct term (possibly part of my problem). I want to create documents using a template, but I want the relationship between the doc and the template to remain after the doc is created, so if I make changes to the template, any docs that use the template are updated to reflect the new template changes. Can anybody help me shed some light on this?

Thanks!
