Walker Hippogriff Done!

Hello!

4 days of work, but here it is, the budget Hippogriff!

I'm really happy with this design, I'll likely make a few more of those.

The whole thing costed me less than 20$, hobby knife, MDF and glue included.

Cheers!

Starting of with a specific theme

Hello space dwarves!

I'm currently painting over legions of Krieg infantry, but, when I'm done with loyalists I wish to dip my toe into the Votann army; Beghast lore video really sold me on the faction and stylistics!

I like dwarves, especially in WH fantasy and HoMM 5, and I really would like to approach building my future army with a focus on high fire power and strong defensible melee, but with little regard to mobility; I don't think I'm discovering new things here. I'd also like for the army to be rather more elite leaning, I don't know if I have it in me to paint 120 grunts again 😅 (or who knows, I may like painting legions of salvagers)

I was wondering if starting off with the theme in mind is the right way to go. If I should go through with it, what units should I consider the most? I need some help deciding what I should save up for in this beautiful range of minis.

I'm starting off with Salvager Kill Team I'm buying off my friend to try out colour schemes.

I hope this post won't go to the data bank of grudges!

Have a good one, and thanks for your help in advance!

P.S. Mind that I don't play 40k competitively, I'll be fine with a suboptimal army to keep a cool theme going on.

Hippogriff at home.

Hello

So, new vehicles are cool and all, but a bit too expensive in my opinion, so I made a Hippogriff myself.

Overall it costed me around 10$ (including hobby knife) and a few hours of work.

Cheers to you all, I'm gonna make more of those.

Ps. Spider legs instead of wheels cuz I love Iron Harvest mechs, I don't really care if it's gonna impact the gameplay.
