Greetings, friends! I have completed my first 2,000 points of Traitor Guard, just in time to get a few games in of 10th Edition. My goal was to create a thematic army that could still score some secondary points and stay somewhat competitive. This army is painted in a dark grey and dark red color with silver and brass highlights.

I wanted to use third party models to represent the tanks to give it more feeling of an army that is clearly not part of the Imperium. The large tanks with lots of guns in the back are the AT-83 Brigand which are proxies for the Rogal Dorn. The tanks in front of them are AT-70 Reaver tanks which are proxies for the Leman Russ.

Some Ventrillian Nobles I put together for fun. Death Korps of Krieg models with Empire heads.

Does anyone know how to convert the sentinals to work for 40k ones, and would the troops in this be used as cadian or something else?(they look closer to tempestus to me)

Originally I wanted to make an infantry army but the repetition of painting so many bloody Cadians has ground me down a bit. It's also a bit disheartening to watch your people get slaughtered while being absolutely no danger to the opposition. So I've built a few tanks and now I'm being tempted by a Baneblade. Should I take the plunge?

Now to create some scatter terrain minefields for him to clear.

Am I the only one upset by this? I wanted to use my first kit to make all 4 special weapons, sniper, flamer, plasma gun and melta. I noticed that we do get 3x part 45, which you do need if your not going to take the med-kit, which who doesn't?? im happy I chose the plasma pistol sgt cause apparently you also need that one 73 arm for the bolter rifle... I realize I can only bring two guns at a time per 10 models, I know im doing something "different". But hey my next kit might be 10 lasguns I also have tons of extra cadians with lasguns to fill in gaps. the old cadian kits never had more than flamer and grenade launcher so was excited when I saw all four options.

Sorry for the rant, at first I thought this was a james shop mess up. does anyone have any suggestions? obviously im going to pick plasma over melta but hey could have used the unique model.

This one came out a lot better decided to switch their uniform to green instead of desert, (mainly because I was stupid and forgot to buy Zandri dust paint instead of just primer)

I started this project in mid November last year and finally finished it today. I estimate around 100hours has been put into painting this massive model my longest time on a model yet.
