BOANW - Artists are Amazing - From Sketch to Final Product

Artists really amaze me! It is just something I could never do. Being able to take my words and convert them into an appealing image boggles my mind. I've spent so much on my IP, but I will never deny the quality of images. This process has been frustrating. Comics being created are such a minor miracle. They are expensive to make. The market is small, but people keep creating them.

BOANW - No A.I. Used in My IP - Where do you stand on A.I.?

Birth of New World doesn't use A.I. and I don't want any of my pages to be fed into an A.I. tool. I know that seems to be a big ask. I understand A.I. is undeniable, but my work was created for human consumption and made by a human, not some machine. Simple as that. If you use A.I. that is your prerogative, but it is imperative that you explicitly state this. Allow the consumer to make a decision.

Curious to know where my fellow creators stand. Let's support each other.

Birth of a New World - Graphic Novel - Photo Dump - Free on GlobalComix

Birth of a New World is my IP. Progress is being made. The project is ambitious. Here is the synopsis:

In the near-future Earth has been privatized into a single mega-corporation: earth inc. Winner Wright, the richest man in all of history, is the sole owner of Earth Inc. by way of deceit. He plans to “improve” humanity by eliminating anyone he deems as losers—those who are disabled, LGBTQ, elderly, or otherwise “not normal.” The only person who can stop him is his twin brother, Loser Wright, gifted with the power to give powers.

Help - How Do You Promote Your Work? Have You Hired Somebody for Promotion?

There is no paid flair for social media manager or promotion. Creating a comic is hard enough, but promoting it is even harder. There are very few platforms. I've been using GlobalComix. Has anybody used a social media manager or promoter? Send recommendations if you have some. What is the point of spending all this money to create something if I can't drum up interest. If you have advice or recommendations, please include it in the comments. Good luck to everybody.

BOANW - Let's F#$# Go!!! - 91,000 Views on GlobalComix - Thank You!!!!

Comic books are difficult to create because of how much work goes into them and how much money they cost. I've been grinding along on this graphic novel. It has been 5 years and I've only created 200 pages. I'm taking these little victories when they come. I'm still not done with this project, but the script is complete. I am indie creator and I am still looking for a publisher. Feel free to check out my work. To the new creators, good luck. It is doable, but it is not easy.

Birth of a New World is my IP. I will never recoup, but I'm happy with what I've created. I've received a lot of negativity, but the positives dwarf them. Any time you put yourself out there, you have to take the criticisms on the chin. If it was easy to create, they would do it. Shoutout to all the indie creators....I see you because I am one of you.

Thank you for all the support! Thank you to my artist, colorist and editor. This was merely an idea that transformed into a graphic novel. Here is the link:

Just want to give a shoutout to all the people that are creating a comic. It is a total grind. I'll be honest, I didn't appreciate the difficulty of creating comics. It is not easy and takes a along time. Keep grinding. I hope you're able to finish your comic book. I'm seeing the finish line, but it took years to get here. A graphic novel is another beast altogether. These projects are labors of love. Support your fellow creator. If you have a link, put it in the comments. Creating is tough, but getting people to read your work is even tougher. Let's follow each other on any platform.

This is the 1st annual Tragedy Olympics. Each person gets to stand atop a soapbox and share their sad story. Today, you get to feel sorry for yourself. Whoever has it the worst gets to hoist up that trophy. This is very self-deprecating humor. This is not intended to undermine or diminish anybody. We all have problems and today we get to tell the world our problems.

This is from Birth of a New World and it has been made into a standalone because I believe it is strong enough.

Hired a Great Editor - The Best Thing I Did for My IP - Recommendation

I took heed of some advice and reworked my graphic novel. I had to swallow my pride and hired a great, affordable editor. He was recommended by somebody on this subreddit. A great editor is a godsend for the story. Not only did it improve my story, but it rejuvenated me. He is a no-nonsense editor and he was intimidating at first. When I first went to him, he told me there were a lot of glaring issues and I would need to scrap part 2 of my project and restart. I was angry that I had to restart and rejected working with him. I sat on it for a week or two. I realized didn't want to do the hard work of rewriting. I succumbed and now my script is about 96% complete. This is a resource. I highly recommend his services.

If you're interested in his services, he is on Fiverr and his email address is: hun.nedstories@gmail.com

He is very harsh. If you can get over that, he is worth it. All he cares about is the story.
