Energy levels are off the charts since quitting (day 11)
Posting this as encouragement for anyone on the fence about quitting.
We think we use Zyns to “perk us up” and keep us going on long days. This might be true for the first few months of using - but after 4 years of on-and-off use, they were doing nothing but making me feel fried by 2pm every day. I would keep popping more, feeling like 20 sec of relief and then just continued overstimulation and burnout. I was so exhausted every day from Zyns and work that I’d be lucky to get 1 run and 1 gym session in per week.
I track all my workouts and the difference in energy levels since quitting has been kinda crazy:
Since quitting (11 days ago) I’ve done 5x hard gym sessions and gone on 4x runs (21 miles total).
For comparison:
In the 11 days BEFORE quitting… I went to the gym 3x, and ran 2x (5 miles total).
So just quitting = almost double the gym sessions, and quadruple the mileage in running. And honestly I don’t even feel that tired from the workouts - nowhere near the exhaustion I felt while Zynning, where after a long day at work all I could often manage was falling onto the couch at the end of the day.
That’s wild to me. These things leech your energy like crazy.
PS - The extra gym sessions and cardio also really help with cravings. Instead of sitting around craving, go get some endogenous brain drugs by working out hard. Gets your mind off the nicotine.
