This has been a really chilling revelation for me. My twin sister is trans and when she came out our dad cut all contact with her.
We both share the same condition that makes us at risk for aneurism. It finally happened. Her wife found her unconscious in their apartment.
She's doing okay now. Concious but medically fragile. I am flying out to see her tomorrow.
The thing that really chilled me was our father refusing to come out. He said he doesn't care. I don't understand how someone can just not care. Even if you have differences. Even if you think someone is doing something that is wrong. How do you just stop caring about your child? I fail to understand how that is even possible.
Anyway, I just wanted to say this to someone. I am really disturbed by it.
