It is great that the devs want to do something about the AI. We already knew previously that there is potential considering various mods, which made the AI better at economy.

There is one thing I've been annoyed with for a while though, and that is AI with DLC content. In my experience eg. AI France or Austria cant handle their content and will death spiral with revolutions because of an insane amount of radicals. Therefore I hope the devs will give these nations some extra love and try to make future nations with DLC content have an AI that can somehow keep up.
