I drove my Avalon this morning to the store and when I got back in the car and turned it on, it would fully turn on and I can hear the brake trying to engage loudly but didn’t seem to engage fully. I got a jump from a friend and the gauge cluster lit up with different badges and notifications saying
-hybrid system malfunction
-pre collision system malfunction
-brake system malfunction
And a couple of others that I can’t remember, but I’m guessing it’s a bad battery, I got a new one and installed the clamps and the O2 sensor and the car drives ok but the parking brake doesn’t engage automatically like it use to and that check engine light is still on. Has anyone here had an unexpected experience with their battery dying before, do I take it to the dealership or a regular mechanic? Plz send help!!!!
