Hello, I am Azeneth Rose, though most just call me Rose. Female, 28, Central time though I keep all kinds of hours. I am once again on the hunt for partners to write with. Discord preferred. I come today with unusual idea for me involving superheroes, betrayal, war, and possibly the end of humanity.
History changed July 16th 1945. Just hours after the US' first atomic test. A man calling himself Axiom appeared at the white house and gave a cryptic warning. "Your catastrophe has stirred me from my rest. After thousands of years, humankind has attained the destructive power of their gods without attaining the wisdom or restraint necessary to use it. It remains to be seen if you will attain the power of creation." He then prevented the use of weapons of mass destruction. Declaring himself the "Guardian of all Nations."
After his reveal humans all over the world began to manifest super human abilities. Offically called Gen-Asc (Genetically Ascended). Most refer to them as Enhanced or Ascended. As more Gen-Asc appeared civil unrest began to sweep the globe. Baseline humans vs the Gen-Asc. It came to a head when a organization calling it's self APEX emerged. Gen-Asc criminals were all but unstoppable. Axiom began to gather other Gen-Asc and formed the Guardians as a military police branch of the UN. Tensions rose as both baseline humans and Gen-Asc fought for basic rights. Bad blood boiled on both sides till the early 1990s when the Gen-Asc went to war with each other.
The Gen-Asc war lasted several weeks and cost thousands of lives on all sides. After Axiom killed Doctor Doomsday the leader of Apex he chose to leave the world behind. Now the Guardians fight to maintain peace between Gen-Asc, a slowly rebuilding APEX, and baseline humans. Now you stand with a handful of other recruits those who were of age in time to graduate. Waiting for your name to be called you whisper the oath you will be expected to recite before the crowd and fellow Guardians.
"I hereby accept the responsibilities of a Guardian. Guardians have one mission: to protect the world and everyone in it, keeping it safe for every future generation, by being fair and honorable to all people, even those we must fight."
