Hey, I'm just looking for some advice/help not necessarily a full build list but I wouldn't complain (providing that is what I think it is).
I'm looking at building my first PC as for the first time in my life I'm in a position to be able to afford one on my own. I currently use an Alienware x17 R1 laptop so I'm looking for something better or at least comparable to that without it being super expensive. I'm happy to spend around £2000 on this. I just have a few questions/doubts.
Is it possible to do it on that budget?
Would I have a better time buying a pre-built one? (I'm aware you might be a little bias with this question but I'd appreciate an answer from the perspective of someone who hasn't built a pc before an might not necessarily enjoy it)
I'm loosely aware that PC parts are kinda expensive right now, would I have a better time waiting and hoping the AI bubble pops and things get a little cheaper?
Just so people don't have to look it up that means I'm currently on:
11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7
16.0 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU (8 GB)
1 TB storage
And then I guess I'd better fill out the build list request requirements just in case.
- Budget: Around £2000
- Use Case: Gaming + General Use
- Country: UK
- Peripherals: I don't think I need any
- Other preferences: Better than specs above
