Okay...what?

I kinda feel like I'm gaslighting myself here. The AI blocking even the most vanilla of smut has been fixed, so good job with that.

But last night I generated probably some of the best smut I've ever been able to on this website. Like five straight chapters of absolute bangers. Pun not intended, though it should be. Did you guys make any other changes? Because if you didn't, then I am so confused right now. I didn't have to edit a single thing. It kinda blew me away. Because it didn't generate stuff that was good enough, it generated stuff that was really damn good. I'm going to test this further to see if it was a fluke, but seriously, if this is the result of something you did, then great job.

Latest Opinions

It's me again, making yet another one of these posts.

  1. So to start off, right out of the gate, Redquill hasn't really improved much since I posted last time. It was already in a good place before and there were just some issues that needed to be ironed out. Unfortunately, those issues are not ironed out.
  2. The AI being aware of sexual positioning is still pretty bad. It still can't grasp the concept that two people can't occupy the same physical space at the same time. This makes any stories involving more than two people having sex at once a little annoying. You have to burn off extra quills to fix it, and there's no guarantee it will. This is, in my opinion, a top-priority fix. It gets in the way of almost every story I generate.
  3. The AI needs to get more imaginative. Doggy style and missionary are all it knows how to do the majority of the time. There are even some positions, like having sex against a wall, where the AI will still default to doggy style. Like I will tell it that she wraps her legs around the guy, and it will somehow contort her body so she wraps her legs around him from behind.
  4. I don't know how hard it would be to implement, but I really think these chapters need a Continue button. Not continue to the next chapter; continue the current chapter. I think this would fix a lot of the problems with the AI suddenly crapping the bed and outright stopping the generation. Also, it would prevent the AI from being overloaded by being asked to rewrite entire chapters from the start over and over again.
  5. Characters have a universal knowledge problem. Simply put, they know things they shouldn't know. A random guy a woman meets shouldn't have intimate details about her life, but if you put that information in the prompt, he'll know about it. The AI doesn't know how to separate background information from general knowledge. I've attempted to fix this through the use of components, but nothing has worked. My suggestion to fix this is actually a far more robust Components system. Expand the character limit to around 10,000, which sounds like a lot, but the more information the AI has the more accurate it is, and right now, 3000 characters is barely enough to cover a character's physical appearance and some of their background. I ask ChatGPT to create profiles for me, mostly for already known characters, like Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and it always struggles to fit anything comprehensible into 3000 characters.
  6. No matter what component I make or what I say, the AI will still describe a flat-chested woman as having curves she does not have. Obviously, season 3 Willow is not a particularly curvy woman. The AI gets the hair right, but seldom gets the body right. This requires me to burn even more quills to fix.

There's currently a problem where Redquill is stopping generation and throwing up an error, but I hear that's being worked on. Overall, Redquill was in a good place months ago, and it's still in a good place, but these problems are becoming a lot more egregious the longer they last. The sexual positioning problem is still a significant issue for me. The AI can get stuck in a loop of performing the same sexual actions again and again. This is an ongoing issue that has existed for a while now, and I know it's not unique to Redquill, but anyone who has been using Redquill for the past four or five months is experiencing the same problems today. The last time I posted my opinions about Redquill, it was largely positive because I felt like it had gone through some huge leaps. But since then, it feels like it has barely moved an inch.
