Hi! I just bought my first serger- a Juki MO-644DN. This is my first time ever using a serger in my life. I’m trying to sew some bikinis for an upcoming trip. I've been playing with the settings on my Juki on some scrap swim fabric and can’t seem to get a nice stitch!! I wish I had a photo to add here but the blue stitch (upper looper) seems loose and it looks like it carries over to the other side. I tried adjusting the tension and lessened the tension on the lower looper…nothing seems to help. So I’m wondering for anyone who sews their own swimwear on a Juki 644, what settings work for you? I’d like to add- I’m using #75 super stretch HAX1SP needles, I’m using 4 way stretch swim fabric.
I’m a total newbie so I'm unsure what settings I should use for everything- cutting width, presser foot pressure, stitch length, differential feed, upper, lower loopers and L/R needle tension etc.. I’m so lost!! I’ve tried watching YouTube’s and nothing is helping.
Thank you!
