someone placed an order 30+ of the items i sell. over a month and a half after receiving them, she reaches out with photos saying saying there was an issue with the products and has provided 5 photos.

she shows that it's the fabric no longer matching the zipper color. the whole product is sold as white. including the matching zipper. the fabric is cotton and the zipper is nylon. except of course cotton fabric would dye but the zipper won't if your using dye made for cotton and not synthetic such as a zipper. and since the product is already sewn into the item with different thicknesses due to seams ect it might not dye evenly compared to dying like a yard of unsown fabric. but regardless, she isn't even claiming she dyed it but rather that this color has appeared for a reason completely unknown to her.

i do notice in the photo that she isn't showing the full product but rather weird angles instead of just taking a normal photo of the item as is. that might be because she is trying to cut off the part that shows she got the lower part of the item embroidered with names as people do for gifting. but it show just barely in the corner of one of the photos she sent (it is a service i do not offer). i do notice that the blotchy color of the item now just happens to be almost the same color as the embroidered thread part that she was attempting to not show (a tan color). although the embroidered thread is a metallic material.

i reply to her initial order help request by asking her how many are mysteriously tan (i don't use that wording of course). she says she didn't count to know but that she thinks "probably all of them." i ask if she can clarify how many items are in the photos since it isn't clear from the ones she provided (and at the very least has one to take a photo of) but she refuses to give a number or even clarify if the photos are of 5 individual items or multiple angles of 1, 2, 3, or 4 items. instead continues to say it's "probably all" but that even the one or ones in the photos she has just sent a few hours ago are also no longer in her possession. she claims she just took the photos to send me but they still given away as gifts which is what she bought them for. but they all are what she has determined as "completely damaged" cannot use and wants a full refund.

anyways, i tell her i can provide her with a refund for any that she sends back noting that they must be in their original condition without any embroidery, decals, or alternations such having been dyed (as has long been noted in my shop policy as well) and i can provide her with a paid shipping label! she goes completely silent. seems maybe their diy dye job didn't go as planned.
