I have a Mali x Gsd. 4 years old. Grea dog, full of energy and fun. His training is good, obedience is good. I recently got the dogtra 1900x. My first session using this e collar on him was the place command combined with his free command. He was doing great on level 18. I went a little longer than I should have on the session and he started to get tired. After saying ‘place’ and engaging the e collar he freaked out. I think due to him being less amped up and more tired he noticed the ecollar more and resulted in him freaking out. It may have also been the case that the e collar moved and hit him in a different area which spooked him.
Any tips on where to go from here. I played with him straight after and did a few reps of place just with light leash pressure and things were fine. Should I leave the e collar for a few days and then ease him back into it?
