Gateway Tapes: Can one be in higher focus states without realizing it?

Can one be in higher Focus states without realizing it?

Hey all,

Been doing the tapes a while now.

I'm just curious about something. Can people actually be in higher focus states without realizing it? And vice versa?

I've been meditating for years before I dived into the tapes. When I did Wave I, the state I enter using this Wave is very familiar or "natural" to me already. When I go to Wave II, the focus 12 state doesn't feel much different at all. I know the difference between 10 and 12 is subtle (according to what I've heard before) but it makes me wonder:

What if people start doing Wave I for focus 10, but actually enter higher focus states without even realizing it, while thinking they're in Focus 10, and then, when going to following Waves II, III, etc, they don't notice much a different and end up thinking they can't get past Focus 10, while in actual fact they're already beyond focus 10? If anybody knows what I mean?

I'm not saying this is the case for me specifically, but it was just a question that popped into my mind.

Very interested in hearing your ideas.

Thanks so much.

How do you go about the tapes and focusing OOBE's etc. while being a stay at home parent with 2 toddlers?

Hey all,

I've just been wondering... Are there others who are very much into the Gateway tapes, OOBE's, LD'ing and at the same time have a (young) family to take of?

How do you go about it?

What I'm also very curious about is, how do you go about it during those days when stuff at home is just insanely chaotic/hectic/stressful and the kids and parent life has drained your energy?

The past few days I've been feeling quite positive (energy wise,) but today was absolutely terrible. I felt so overwhelmed with the family and when my partner left with the kids, I tried to find some time do the tapes (at this point I had like 40 mins free time) but couldn't find my ear buds after looking for them for 20 minutes, which made me flip out and cuss everything together, because it felt like my time was done for the day. It felt like the final straw, and I just ended up expressing so much negative emotions before the fam got back home. Swearing, being cross at inanimate objects - people who are parents probably know the deal. I felt so negative.

I felt so low afterwards and ashamed of myself. I felt like I was the most fake "spiritual person" ever. I then kept telling myself negative stories like, "Your energy is so negative, this will only make you less able to succeed in things."

Being a parent, especially a stay at home parent, constantly having to sit and manage two toddlers, is harder than I thought. Having moments not being able to be that positive grounded person I always want(ed) to be is really kicking my butt at times.

How do you go about it? How do you feel being a parent, but also being so into the the tapes, OOBE's, etc?

I'd love to hear your stories and how you go about combing family life (and stressors) with your spiritual life (for lack of a better term.)

Thanks so much.
