I don’t even know how to explain this properly, but sometimes I feel like having a best friend from the opposite gender just hits different.
Not in a relationship way. Not anything complicated. Just that comfort where you can talk about anything—random thoughts, daily nonsense, serious stuff—without overthinking everything.
Like… different perspective, different energy, but still that same safe space.
I guess what I’m really looking for is just like-minded people who get this feeling. People who value genuine connection, consistency, and just being real with each other.
Feels like it’s hard to find that kind of connection these days. Either things get misunderstood, people assume intentions, or it just fades out.
Maybe I’m overthinking, idk.
