I was using adapalene gel earlier in the week for about 2-3 days. This past Friday, I felt a few dry rough patches on my chin and picked them off. After I did that, the skin underneath was red and raw, and it burned and stung for a while. Another rough patch formed over it by the evening. I did pick at it again, and the skin was still red and raw and had some slight clear fluid come out. It appears to be drying out now and feels a little itchy, but I am not going to pick at it again. Could the adapalene have cause a dermatitis or eczema. I have a few small spots on the other side of my chin, and the skin all around my chin and mouth is dry and flaky.
