Thinking about joining KS guard

I'm considering joining the KS National Guard, either Air or Army.

For reference I'm 28 years old, married, own my house, have a 4 year degree from Kstate, currently work as a mechanical engineer. I've got a handful of various outdoor related skills and I'm in decent civilian shape.

Some questions

Are the benefits worth the time commitment?

How often have you been deployed?

Those of you that are married/have kids, how do you handle deployments/training?

If given the choice would you re-enlist?

Anything else I need to consider?

What jobs deploy more/less often? Especially if you are from ks and know how the units there are

Also, if anyone would be willing to answer questions 1 on 1 please let me know

Edit: A couple more questions

Ideally would like a job where I'm out doing stuff reasonably often, but probably shy away from combat arms. (Not sure my wife wants me in infantry lol)

is going for a commission worth it?

Thanks
