How to start walking without fear after injury?

Hello everyone. I fell on the ground and had kneecap dislocation+MPFL tear three months ago. 6 weeks ago I started psychical rehab. I noticed that I’ve already made big improvement, but I still can’t walk without any assistance (zimmer frame/other people and etc).

Well, actually I’m able to make some steps independently when any kind of furniture is near me (bed, desk etc.), but if I try to walk when there is no furniture, my legs become paralyzed. On a some days, especially before the start of period, I’m not able to walk even with zimmer frame, because then my legs tend to paralyze too, but if a person comes near me, legs suddenly ✨start working again✨.

Therefore, I realized that the problem is not body weakness, but my brain filled with a lot of fears, that I might fall, might injure myself again, might experience a lot of pain, and THAT’S WHY my legs become paralyzed. I have already started with working with psychologist. She offered me to try some breathing/meditation/body relaxation techniques, however, she said that it could take at least 2-3 months to see some results.

So my question is…is there any faster way to regain confidence in my body (and mind) when walking? Of course, I understand that your advices won’t cure me instantly, but I want to make one step with more courage than I did yesterday.

Thank you in advance ❤️ Sorry for my messy english

[OC] I had a few tough days in physical rehab. A staff member gave me this and said: “I never had a daughter, but you feel like one to me”. I started crying from happiness.
