I think I'm being stalked but it could be my Paranoia. What do I do
This all started few months ago but I didn't think much about it until a month ago. I am a uni student and I live in a hostel. About a month ago, I lost my id card and I didn't think much about it, I just thought it was either lost in the uni or I've misplaced my items(Im very careless). The same week I had to go to my home and I couldn't find the card even when I searched my whole room so I left without it. After a week, I returned to the hostel and my warden handed me the card saying someone dropped it off.
I asked if it was a woman but she said she doesn't know as it was her husband to whom that card was given
Right away some things didn't add up. Firstly I don't know much ppl from my college. Even the ones I know, I haven't told them I live in a hostel. Now there are other classmates (prob5) who live in the same hostel as me, so I suspect they could've mentioned it but they don't really talk with anyone except amongst themselves. So I let it go.
Next day, the warden told me it was a man who left the card. This was even weirder, because I don't remember telling any guy from my class the hostel I live in. And the card doesn't mention anything about the temporary residence. I havent put the name of the hostel in any documents. Also if it was someone I knew, why couldn't they just text me saying I found ur card?
Before this, there has been a lot of other instances where I suspected something. During the winter, I brought two mufflers from my home(which I used for college only) One was thin so I didn't use it. The other one was nice and comfy so I kept using it. I think it was Holiday for few days, and after that I searched for it but couldn't find it at all. I do have a roommate but she wasn't in the hostel during that entire month so its impossible it was her.
I again took things lightly, blaming my carelessness, but after the end of winter season, I packed every winter clothes to bring it back home but I couldn't find it. UpTo now, it's still not found.
Another thing I lost was my rings. I brought a ring from my home and it was lost within my hostel room. I know it wasnt lost anywhere else because the only time I take it off Is when I have to sleep, shower or go to the bathroom so it's always in my fingers.
I also lost few strange things. One earring I really liked, and brought from my home (again). Only one of the pair was found. I don't remember exactly when it was lost but I tried searching every corner of the room, but only one of the pair was on my wardrobe the other was missing
Now I'm confused whether it's truly a creepy stalker or I'm overthinking.
Also one thing is that my room's lock is very weak. Something is wrong with the handle of the door so big locks cannot go inside the door, so I have to use the suitcase locks that can easily be unlocked. Even the lock inside isn't that safe. There are two locks inside. The upper one is very weak. There has been a lot of instance when it opens on its own if push is given from outside in a certain pattern. Also it has a certain crack if only onelock is put , so you can see a specific part of the room But I do use both the locks after I found out that the first lock isn't strong enough. But I doubt breaking into the room would be that easy for the strangers as there are a tons of room they have to pass by and since my room is round the corner, passing by that way would only mean visiting my room. Since it's a girls hostel, no male are allowed and my hostel pplare quite noisy so if someone saw a man walking to my room's direction some fuss would have been created
So I kinda feel like it's all in my head. But then again, something's are not adding up
