St. Luke's Medical Center reality

Hey everyone! I’m currently here at St. Luke’s Medical Center Quezon City just to drop off some specimens. I’m also in the middle of reviewing for my Medical Technology Board Exams, so I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled at the workflow and the environment here.

Honestly? I’m kind of in awe. Everything looks so polished, organized, and most importantly, clean. Coming from internships at various public hospitals where things were... let's just say "chaotic" and "resource-limited," this place feels like how a hospital "should" actually be.

But as the saying goes, "if it's too good to be true, it probably is." It looks like a dream workplace from the outside, but I know the healthcare industry in the PH can be brutal regardless of the facility's prestige.

For those who have worked here, stayed here, or are currently part of the staff: Is there a "dark side" to SLMC?

•How is the work-load vs. pay ratio for newly licensed MTs or Nurses?

•Is the "prestige" worth the potential stress or politics?

•Are the benefits actually better than other private institutions, or is it just better branding?

•What are the biggest "cons" that people don't see from the lobby?

Would love to hear some honest perspectives while I sit here and wait.
