This message from the WHO director has all the tell-tale AI-isms, but am I just seeing AI everywhere now?

This message from the WHO director has all the tell-tale AI-isms, but am I just seeing AI everywhere now?

I know it's a legitimate, sanctioned message, but this looks like classic AI-gen writing to me:

>I want to speak to you directly, not through press releases or technical briefings, but as one human being to another, because you deserve that.

>I also want to say something else, something that goes beyond the science.

>Your humanity deserves to be witnessed, not just acknowledged from a distance.

etc.

That opening statement is just so ironic if it's actually written by AI.

This question comes up now and again, but I haven't seen it for a while and I'm curious what everyone is bringing in terms of luxury items these days. I know a lot of people bring the usual luxuries like toothpaste, socks, both trekking poles, beer for your wife's boyfriend.

So what's everyone bringing? I'll go first: my luxury item these days, and I know it's gonna be controversial, is a good book. I just make sure I've memorized it before starting my hike. Base weight is everything.
