Yesterday I was trying to diagnose an rtu unit Lennox gas valve wasnt opening.

I was tracing it back through the system trying to understand.

Can someone confirm or correct me that when power comes in ( 240) goes to the first contactor ? Which is for what ?

Then goes to the 240/24 step down trasnformer ? Then 24 v to the board?

My board didnt have power so its safe to assume the transformer is blown?

Hello, ive been in hvac for s few years from took a few years off. Finally getting back into it.

Need help ! I have a very good basic understanding of how things work however im not to skilled on rtus

So I have 240 coming in at diconnect 110 at each leg of the first step down Transformer !

The board isn't getting power and om getting 0 to ground from the 24v side of the transformer

Is it safe to say the transformer done ?

Also earlier in the day before the Transformer stopped working in the board when the board had power I would get the borewood energize however the gas valve would not open up so I'm guessing it was a bad Transformer that was about to go in it finally went and now I don't have powers of the board is that safe to say
