Hello, I’m currently pregnant for the 4th time with no LC. Based on my last menstrual period, I am 6w5d today. I have been seeing a reproductive endocrinologist for early monitoring given the last 3 pregnancies ended in MC. I tested positive at 3w4d and HCG levels have been trending upwards normally. Last check last Thursday was around 17,000. I’ve had 3 ultrasounds with the following results and my pregnancy symptoms are progressive (nausea all day, sore boobs). All prior pregnancies that ended had very few symptoms aside from sore boobs. Based on not seeing a heartbeat yesterday (6w4d) my RE is really not optimistic and has scheduled another visit for Friday to “discuss options” about ending the pregnancy since she thinks it’s unlikely to be viable. Has anyone else had similar findings and gone on to have things be fine? It is a natural pregnancy, not IVF, and I think they mostly do early monitoring of IVF pregnancies at that clinic.
First ultrasound (5w4d): 5mm gestational sac in uterus (though I think they may have scanned a cyst in my uterine wall at this time and the thing they are now measuring as a sac is in a different location)
Second ultrasound (5w6d): had some bleeding/blood clots in the AM so they brought me in for recheck scan. Gestational sac in the uterus measuring 1cm, no yolk sac or fetal pole visible. The thing they scanned before still there separate from the sac (myometrial cyst).
Third ultrasound (6w4d): bleeding ceased. 1.3cm gestational sac with small yolk sac and small fetal pole (4mm) but no visible heartbeat.
They seem to adamantly think anything without a visible heartbeat at 6w is not progressing normally. I find it hard to believe that with progressing symptoms, growth each scan a normally rising HCG that this is likely another loss. Anyone have a similar story and had success?
