I want to change my vehicle and I have outstanding 407 (toll highway) bills and parking tickets on my current license plate.

what happens if I get a new (used) vehicle with a new plate, and I trade in mine with my plate?

will I have to pay the parking tickets and 407 bill? (immediately before getting my next vehicle)?

what happens to my plate after I trade the vehicle in? is it just destroyed?

I don’t mind paying the balances but just don’t want to pay them all right now, I can chip away at them gradually.. that’s why I’m asking because I don’t want to pay large amount all at once

for reference this is in Ontario and its the 407 ETR highway
