I just watched the new documentary, it's on Paramount+ right now, about Don Studey, a suspected serial killer in a small town. The docuseries has three parts to it, explaining the odd deaths of his wives, the abuse of his children, and numerous people coming forward to say they saw him murder people, drag dead bodies, etc.
I wanted to know your thoughts on the case, since it was so interesting and it's a new documentary.
Personally, I think >!Don was a serial killer. The fact that his wife was too short to have shot herself with that gun. Two different people who would have no reason to tell a similar story (the friend, and the sister) recalling Don dragging a body, and murdering someone. That's not a rumor you hear about someone who's innocent, and not twice, and not three times including Lucy's memories.!<
I wasn't surprised>!they didn't find the bodies, though. It wouldn't be too hard to cover up a well, and childhood memories are hard to recall. The second the trees were torn down, I figured the spot was going to look different from how Lucy remembered. It's scary to think they dug where they did, but the bodies could have been only twenty paces to the left or right, the whole time. This is actually a problem in hilly cemeteries - bodies move over time as soil shifts. Of course, you would think a well would be sturdy, but I don't know about wells, just cemeteries.!<
