Mods delete if not allowed. But a fintech company by the name of Tuyo, announced a card that’s essentially is a “buy now, pay maybe”. They’re advertising that randomly some of your charges will be completely free, and it’s all random. Aka it sounds like a card that once you spend a certain amount of money they’ll “get rid” of one of your charges like a $7 coffee at Starbucks.

But this makes me think, this sounds like an entire marketing scheme to make people spend tons of money on hopes of them thinking they’ll get a $1000+ purchase for “free”. Very interesting to look into it, seems like they’re trying to tap into a gambling community almost.

Dad got this back for me in 2013 off someone and I’ve loved it since. Any idea why the MLB logo is brown on this one?

I’ve previously had the Gold so I am not eligible for a sign up bonus anymore. We spend a ton of groceries and eating out - around $25k to $30k a year combined for food. Credits are very easy to use for us.

My wife has been targeted many times now in the mail by AMEX for 100k points. She’s not very card savvy but she knows how to use the capital one duo. She is an authorized user and I’m the only that handles all payments use of credits or calling the bank for any issues that could come up.

Is there any disadvantages to having me become the authorized user on the account if we open it? I still want to be the one to manage payments / speak to customer service if I need to.

Any advice is appreciated.
