I’ve been building a web app for movie and TV lovers called CANISTERR and I’d genuinely love some feedback from fellow cinephiles.

The idea came from wanting movies to feel more personal online instead of just “watched/rated.”

Some features:
• Log movies in a calendar-style diary
• Attach memories, photos, ticket stubs, or notes to every watch
• Recommend movies directly to friends with conversations attached
• A social feed called Cinepost for reviews, theories, scenes, and discussions
• Discover what your friends are watching and sharing
• Clean dark cinematic UI inspired by film culture

I built this independently and the platform is safe to use.
No shady stuff, no spammy ads, and I’m actively improving it every day.

Would genuinely mean a lot if you checked it out and told me what feels good, bad, confusing, or missing.

Website: canisterr.com

I’m trying to make something that feels less like “content consumption” and more like a personal movie identity/community.

I’m 21 and just registered my first startup… and honestly, no one prepares you for this.

I thought it would be simple, just “register a company” and start building. But the moment I began, it turned into this endless chain:

First incorporation then GST then bank account then payment gateway then compliance stuff I didn’t even know existed.

I used Razorpay Rize (recommended by a friend’s father), and it helped with incorporation, but still every next step unlocks 5 more things you need to do.

And the worst part
No clear, simple roadmap anywhere.

Everything online is either
too legal or complex
outdated
or trying to sell you something

I’m literally sitting here thinking why is there no simple platform that just says

Step 1 Do this
Step 2 Now do this
Step 3 You’ll need this document for this

Especially for students or first time founders.

I finally have a few free days and I’m seriously thinking of building a website that guides people step by step through registering a startup in India like a clean no BS roadmap.

Before I start
Does something like this already exist that I’m missing?

And for people who’ve done this what were the most confusing parts for you

Before you attack me , let me clarify as part of my college project i have to build a an web-app with a niche audience

So I am planning to make a social media app /website for writers .

I just need to know what all features you all are looking for

And what you expect from this app

It will be better if u give me alternatives (no x and Instagram please)
