Car hood dented week before trade in and delivery… should I fix ?
Noticed my hood has a pretty obvious dent and scratches after my car was parked somewhere. No idea what happened or how it happened, but I’m pretty annoyed since I’m planning to trade the car in to Tesla soon and now I’m worried the trade-in value is going to drop a lot.
In the Tesla app, the trade-in task already says complete. They never asked me to upload photos or anything. They only asked for the mileage.
Is it even worth fixing before trade-in? I’m guessing it might cost me a few hundred bucks if I can do PDR on it.
I’ve also heard Tesla barely inspects trade-ins sometimes, so I’m not sure if I should proactively disclose it or just leave it alone. The dent is definitely noticeable though.
