I made player for Mac with Apple Music queue support

Hi
I made a music player called Liqoria, a Mac app I’ve been working on, and I recently released an update focused on improving the Apple Music experience on macOS.

Liqoria adds features to Apple Music on Mac:

  • Miniplayer with full apple music queue control – you can view, reorder, and manage your Apple Music queue without opening the Apple Music app
  • Animated artwork player - similar to iOS, where supported tracks show animated artwork when expanded
  • macOS Dock player - For those who don’t like floating players, you can use the Dock Player a Dynamic Island-style music experience right from your macOS Dock

The app works directly with Apple Music and also with Spotify and browsers, so everything you do (like playback control or queue changes) syncs with your actual Apple Music app.

One of the main things I focused on is queue control from a miniplayer. As far as I know, this isn’t really available in other Mac apps outside of Apple Music itself

There’s a 72-hour free trial if you want to try it out

Liqoria - macOS Dock Player for all apps

The Problem: macOS lacks a universal mini player for all music apps. The built-in menu bar player is limited, and there’s no proper music widget.

Many Dynamic Island apps try to bring live music activity to the MacBook notch, but they all share the same problem even my app DynamicLake. In some cases, the live activity can cover menu bar items, and when the notch expands, it may block parts of the screen and limit usability on the MacBook

Liqoria is not just a controller for apps like Apple Music, Spotify, and your browsers it’s also a standalone music player. You can search for songs, manage your apple music queue, and control everything from one place.

Features:

  • Four player modes: Dock player, Floating player, Menu Bar player, and Lock Screen player
  • Dock Player: A Dynamic Island-style music player integrated directly on the original macOS Dock
  • Full playback control: Like, Shuffle, Repeat
  • Real FFT waveform: inspired by the Dynamic Island
  • Multiple players at once: View a list of all your active music players in one place
  • Built-in Spotify and Apple Music search
  • Apple Music queue management
  • Animated artwork for Apple Music on float and lock screen
  • Music widget for Mac

Comparison: Apps like Silicio and Sleeve are limited, mainly supporting Apple Music and Spotify without built-in search or full queue control. They also can’t display multiple players simultaneously and lack features like audio quality indicators and advanced Apple Music queue handling. On top of that, Dynamic Island style apps often run into another issue they can interfere with menu bar items and reduce usable space on the MacBook screen

Pricing: $9.90 - Lifetime license (up to 3 devices)
Free 72-hour trial available

Vertical Dock support (left and right orientations) is coming soon ETA June

Hi
As a Spotify user, I felt that the built-in mini player doesn’t feel truly native on macOS. So I created Liqoria an app designed to bring a more seamless, macOS-style experience to Spotify.

With Liqoria, you can shuffle, like, and repeat tracks, as well as search for songs or playlists and play them directly from the mini player
