I was actually excited for the Find X9 Ultra to be my first flagship device.
I thought 1700€ is a lot, but okay this is OPPO’s big camera flagship. Hasselblad branding, photography kit, premium launch, maybe the preorder deal will make it feel worth it.
Then I see the preorder gift in my region.
A charger.
Not the photography kit. Not the OPPO Pad. Not the watch/earbuds bundle other regions are getting.
A charger.
For the same €1700 phone. That's insane to me.
That is genuinely insulting. It makes my country feel like an afterthought for OPPO, like we are just second class customers. At this price, the charger should already be in the box, not presented like some amazing preorder reward.
I don’t know who at OPPO thought this was a good idea, but I honestly don’t feel like buying the device anymore after seeing this. Some regions get hundreds of euros in real preorder value, while others get treated like they should be grateful for the bare minimum.
I wanted to be excited about this phone. Now it just feels like OPPO looked at some markets and decided "they’ll take whatever we give them and they will like it"
