Question about mixing RAM.
So I'm trying to upgrade the RAM on my PC.
Can I mix the following RAM?
SK Hynix 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4 3200MHz
Crucial Pro 32GB (16GBx2) DDR4 3200MHZ (with heat spreader)
It’s on a ROG Strix G15CE motherboard and already configured to the aforementioned SK Hynix in slots A2,B2 and I realize there's 4 slots.
I don't think I will need it as of present, but asking for future proofing or in case I run into a scenario where I might actually need it.
Follow up question:
- If I do, what are the major risks?
- For now, should I just play safe and use the 32GB?
