Ruger 10/22 18.5" pre-2006 model inside a Ardilla bullpup chassis from Derrick Cassel. Black parts are PETG, teal is PLA+, rear pad will be redone in TPU later this week. Measures *exactly* 26" long. Grip and mag release lever printed from separate files, optic is a Vintcon Ursa which I feel is fitting. Gonna smooth out the layer lines, add some suitably cyberpunk details, and paint on some wear and accents, as well as make a couple stickers for it. Oh and get assembly hardware obviously 😅

Hi all! I'm new to .22lr as well as the 10/22. 2 days after purchasing a pre-2006 10/22 for $130, I took it shooting. in 200 rounds of federal automatch, I had 2 stovepipes and what initially seemed like a squib: pulled trigger, quiet pop, smoke everywhere around the action, no new hole in the target, casing didn't extract. I assumed I needed a new barrel, but after getting it home i used my brass cleaning rod to find where the squib was only to find no obstruction. In fact, the chambered round literally just pushed out with the brass rod, no mallet required. it looks like the firing pin didn't even touch the rim!

how would it smoke like it did if it didn't even hit the thing? Why wouldn't it eject? Is this still safe to shoot? Do I need to repair anything?
