Hi!

I’m a medium sized content creator with around 300,000 followers on Instagram in a pretty specific niche. I haven’t done a brand deal before because I purely was in it for the love of said niche. Recently, it’s been hard to ignore the stories of content creator success and the allure of monetization though brand deals, so I figured id give it a shot!

I reached out to a brand I really align with (they’re a pretty large brand that most people would know) and inquired about the possibility of doing a collaboration, to which they agreed and were very receptive & enthusiastic about. As I have never don a brand deal before, I (stupidly, in retrospect) made this known to them and said something along the lines of “i’ll trust you guys to give me a fair rate”, thinking they wouldn’t try to screw me! I fear I may be wrong though, as they came back with an offer of $250 for 5 posts and 5 stories.

I am very grateful for this opportunity and am excited about the prospect of doing my first brand deal, but even though i’m not really in it for the money, that seemed far lower than similar brand deals I’ve seen about on social media.

My question is 1) is this maybe a normal rate for a more niche creator, or am I being severely low balled?

  1. I tried to look up similar situations online and on reddit but wasn’t able to find the kind of specifics i’m looking for. Is there an app or forum or something that content creators post about their experiences with brand deals on?

Thank you!

TLDR:

- first brand deal, I have 300k on Instagram

- offered $250 for 5 posts & 5 stories by brand

- is this lowball?

- is there a place or site I can go to to find info about past brand deals other creators have done?

Hello,

I recently got my first promotion at Deloitte, but when I had my green light conversation with my coach, pay increase didn’t come up. Where would I find information about the pay increase? I also heard it depends on ratings?

Hello,

I’m a consultant working out of the Rosslyn, Va office. I just got all the approvals for an office transfer later (moving to NYC) this year (Aug 1st move) and submitted my transfer request form. I got an email back saying there’s a freeze on office transfer requests that is supposed to be lifted in July. My question is 1) if I submit a request in July when it’s lifted, can I still move August 1st?

  1. is this common? How likely is the freeze to actually be lifted in July?

Thanks for your help/time!
