Looking for anecdotes of those who had run of the mill first trimester symptoms and traveled …my first pregnancy I vommed a few times per week for 17 weeks, so I’m no stranger to the possibility.

We were looking to travel somewhere in the first tri weeks 7-11 for 10 day to Europe .

I have a toddler, so the downside is no rest from childcare because we are on vacation.
The upside is not working or “hiding”

Travel with a 2.5 year old is mostly playgrounds, picking up rocks, and hopefully some interactive museums. Slow.

Did you do this??? Would you do this??

We originally planned on starting to TTC #2 in June, but we finally decided to go on a trip to the UK (10 hour flight) in late August.
I am completely torn!

If we are lucky the 1st go, I’d be about 9.5-11 weeks pregnant during our travels.
I’m less concerned about 1st tri symptoms and more concerned about what if we miscarry or have a mmc at that time during the trip.
Am I overthinking it?

If we wait, I’ll be just shy of 36 when we start TTC.
3 months isn’t nothing in terms of TTC, but it is a blip in the grand scheme of things. If there was absolutely certainty that either we’d be pregnant first try after our trip in September we’d do that. Or certainty there’d be no first trimester complications, I’d say let’s start sooner 😂

Note:We’ll have an additional family member with us, so not just my husband, toddler and I.

Edit: would you still wait if you’d be13-14 weeks pregnant?
