Iraqi, Syrian Turkmen and Balkan Turks
Merhaba,
I have listened to a Folk Song named Kalenin Dibinde bir taş olaydım which is a shared melody among Oghuz people. I due to being not well versed in differences between Turkic people found it intresting that the same melody is present albeit in different Forms.
My question is What are some fundamental differences between Iraqi Turks, Syrian Turkmen and Balkan Turks?
I mean in Thier Customs, Traditions, Dialects etc. what separates them from Anatolian Turks
I know very little about Balkan Turks, having silent H in Thier Dialect, but other than the expulsion from Balkans I do not know much. I know even less about Iraqi and Syrian Turkmen
One question I have is why Iraqi and Syrian Turks are called Turkmen but not Balkan, for example ones from Adjara , Meshetkia and Khorasan are called Turks but not from Syria and Iraq who are called Turkmen
