Me (18M) and my GF (18F) have been together for 6 months, I was scrolling on tiktok and I saw a video on my feed that she reposted that said something along the lines of “When my Daughter asks me why she has brown eyes and brown hair but Mum had a type”
I am a blue eyed blonde so I thought this was a bit odd considering that she’s with me. I’d like to point out before I continue that I have 0 issue with people having a type because I have a type myself and my current girlfriend does not fit it.
The point of this post is to ask whether it was wrong for me to bring it up with her, she got incredibly mad when all I did was reply to it saying “oh so im not your type 😂😂” in a joking, unserious manner. She completely kicked off and started accusing me of accusing HER of cheating when I said no such thing.
After she started getting mad, I then said to her that I do think it’s kind of ridiculous to be reposting about finding someone who looks nothing like me attractive while i’m in a relationship with her. And again I feel the need to clarify that I don’t have any issue with me not being her type, I just don’t see the need for her to repost about it?
She has cancelled our dinner reservations because of how mad she’s got that I asked her about it and i’m not sure what to think. She is so mad it seems like i’ve genuinely done something so I thought i’d come on here to ask, as far as I can remember i’ve never posted anything on reddit before I hope that you guys can give me a decent answer to this, cheers!
