Finally my build is 90+% complete & it feels surreal. (Somebody pinch me!)
I bought my first custom-made-for-me Bass guitar at what became the most inopportune time possible. The builder has an impecable+reputation and has made some of the wildest axes in the industry, is an innovative and forward thinker, and handcrafts the instruments "the right way- All by hand." I spoke with him at length before sending him an inlay set and a chunk o' dough.
Noone could have predicted what happened next, but it would teach me the meaning of "patience", would see the whole, wide, world close down, and would find my luthier going from ready for an expansion, to ready to pass the torch to his meticulously trained crew by the end of it all. It has been one helluva ride, and I'm glad everything is looking like it's all gonna be good. The integrity shown, above reproach. These pics look great, and I have yet to encounter a bad comment by a legit source. Worth the wait? I bet 5 yrs. on it that it would be. Only thing left to do is Assemble & Ship.
