So I grew up with a single white mother who never really knew anything about afros and how to maintain them. As a kid I was taught to just treat my afro like straight it hair which really didn’t work out so I just started wearing it in a ponytail every single day. Due to that I didn’t care one bit about my hair’s health
Now I want to make a change a really create a fitting routine for my hair. I’m pretty sure my hair is very dehydrated so that’s the first thing I want to work on. I also don’t have much money so I need some good but not too expensive products. I’m planning on seeing a hairdresser in the next few months when I saved up the money.
What can I do in the meantime? How often do I wash my hair? What products do I use and how often? Every advice will be appreciated
