Found a turtle in my apartment parking lot this morning. I believe he’s a yellow bellied slider. There isn’t any type of pond or park very close so I’m not sure where he came from or if he was dumped. How do you tell if a turtle is a pet or wild? I picked him up so he wouldn’t get run over, should I release him closer to water? I’m in Atlanta. TIA!
