Wtf is the current state of missions
My sister is out on her mission and I got this in her weekly email today -_- Why are they turning this into a game?
My biggest beef with missions right now is I hate that they call investigators "friends". As someone who values my close friendships an incredible amount and spends a lot of time on them, calling a relationship where you're explicitly trying to get something out of it (a conversion) and you're going to drop contact the second you get transferred or they get baptized is honestly disgusting. That's not how a friendship works. They're making "friends" under completely false pretenses. We get posts on this sub all the time from people that thought they had made an actual friend and converted because of that and then got abandoned.
I know about a dozen people out on missions right now and I barely read any of their emails because there are so many parts of them that just piss me off.
