I just dug up part of my front flower bed. I have a couplel large clumps, several smaller clumps and some that are just a stem or two on a root ball. Dm me if interested.

I water the lawn including the front bed twice a year ish. These plants have 1inch wide leaves growing from the base and get about 2 feet tall, the flowers grow on a taller stalk and look like a red-orange iris. They were planted in the 60's? I bought the house in 2010, so I'm not sure what exactly they are, but they're very drought resistant lol. Leave the dead leaves on over winter. Remove old growth once the new growth is visible and near or after last frost. I've uncovered early a few times or there's been a late frost and they've survived well.
