How Can I Help?

I’m not a streamer but I play this game practically every night.

I don’t read books often but I am triple digesting the lore.

I’m not a tournament winner but I thrive by giving PvP my all.

I want the developers to know that I love what you made. That over and over again I want to dive into their world and game they crafted. That I am on their side, their team. That they have fans rooting for them.

But my ultimate question is this: What can I do to help? In this day and age, it feels like games have more pressure than ever before to either over succeed or cease to exist. Is all you can do as a regular, everyday Joe is root for your team from the sidelines trusting the team has this…or is there a difference a solo fan can make?

…and yes besides just spending money you nerds! 🤣 I’ve already got the deluxe edition and three knives out the shop. I don’t mind splurging on the merch for a good product, service, or team.

And if any developer wants to answer this from there perspective, I would love the insight.

LFG - 35 Year Old Dad Seeks Xbox Soul Mates for Bungie's Marathon (2026)

Every time I make one of these, I feel like I'm creating a dating ad for myself. Then again, if I have to make these all the time, maybe I'm the problem.....Oh well! Here we go again!

If I have a vice, it's video games. I don't drink. I don't smoke. But the balance to my 9-5, family, and responsibilities is turning on the xbox and diving into a digital world. And boy do I dive in. I need lore, I need world building, I need skill expression, I need challenge, I need PvP. Boy do I need PvP. Ever since the days of Mario Kart with my sister on the N64 do I like to try my best. I'm not the best. Never will be. But trying my hardest is the best adrenaline spike I can ask for. Halo 1-3 furthered that. I have a competitive spirit. Please note that: It's about trying my hardest to be the best, not actually being the best. The effort man. I work hard to play harder.

I play the game I'm given. I don't wine about what it isn't. I think an old Apex podcast taught me that. Sure, invisible assassins can be challenging and a plague upon the land of solos...but I can join them, counter them, or figure out another way to outplay them. Not just wonder why Bungie doesn't set their shells ablaze in ban hammer glory. I like to play off meta because that's me. Find my own path. But I'll reflect and talk about things I could have done different in the moment. Self Improvement, but you know, in video games.

So if anyone is interested in a regular thing, I game most days (seriously, most) 10pm - 1am CST. Sometimes I'm off on Tuesdays with extra day time to play, but that's the cherry on top my gaming time. I like to get on, chat about my day, listen to yours, shit talk the people that deserve it, and hit the grind stone. Seriously, I could have a full conversation every day on which Marathon Shell (Used to be Destiny Class, after that Apex Legend, after that R6 Operator) fits my play style and personality the most. I like to dive headfirst into these things and just like Destiny before it, you need a regular group to dive into the real meat and potatoes. Looking at you Ranked and Cryo Archive. I'm a weirdo. Would like other weirdos to be weird with. My in-life friends that play sparingly ain't cutting it lately. So here I am!

No humor is too dark and nothing offends me. Very much that good-natured banter, joshing, and ball busting humor kind of guy. Traditional man. Louisiana blue collar worker. If you read all this and you don't want to kick me into a ditch, hit me up. Hopefully you're like me. Not too much, but just enough. Insert winky face.

Update: Read every single message boyz. Thank you to all that took the time out of their day. Seriously. To those of you that recommended Dads of Marathon. Jokes on you! Already been there. I used this post to be able to share a link there instead of blasting this novella into discord. To those of you that reached out here or by message, hitting you guys up as well. I won't lie though, the more you gave me, the sooner I'm reaching out. And look, if you come here late and who I am interests you as a male marathon digital shell lover, please reach out. Often takes a couple of tries before you find that right friend for that right game. Hell, I never found it in Destiny. Temporary homes, but nothing that stuck like you want it to stick, ya know?
