Had a virus 2 weeks ago, pretty average with congestion and tiredness, nothing serious. Started recovering, last monday was able to drive and go out. Next day, completely bedridden. It has deteriorated for a week, as of today I need support to go to the bathroom. I can't take care of myself at all.
I'm 26yo, pregnant in second trimester. I went to ER, there is nothing clinically wrong with me thus I couldn't be admitted to a ward. I'm starting to suspect it's extreme post viral fatigue or early cfs.
What should I expect from recovery? What should I do? I'm bedbound 24hrs of the day. I do get up to use the toilet and my husband helps me shower. He makes me food and bring me everything I need. I can use my phone but reading a book or playing a game tires my brain. At times I feel almost comatose from the exhaustion, I feel nauseous from it too. I have shortness of breath and struggle to talk.
I've had covid and mild long covid before but it recovered on its own within months. I've never been completely bedbound like this. Needless to say I've felt so much desperation and depression over this. However I want to believe it's possible to recover.
I take C vitamin and iron, is there any other recommendations?
