What genre of music should I listen to if I am obsessed with Pushit and You lied (both Salival version)

First of all I would apologise if I sound stupid but I am a layman and don’t know anything about how music works. I just enjoy what sounds good to me.

I have been obsessed with the salival version of Pushit and You Lied, especially the dark, haunting, spiritual, melancholic atmosphere they create. I tried listening to playlists of prog metal and alternative i guess but they are just either too harsh or have weird vocals that I cannot bear.

I know tool has its own “genre” and its their unique sound but I really believe that there has to be others bands out there who have similar songs…

I would really appreciate if someone can guide me on what kind of genre/albums/bands I should try out.

I am already aware of r/soundsliketool but bands that people have recommended for tool fans to get into but can’t say have had much success.

Hi everyone,

I’m currently writing the first chapter (Introduction) of my medical thesis in neurosurgery. I’ve written around 2000 words (7 pages) so far and ended up with about 40 citations.

Most of the section is literature-based (epidemiology, neuroanatomy, neuroplasticity, imaging, surgical limitations), so I’m citing quite frequently, sometimes even multiple citations in a single paragraph.

I’m also a bit unsure because I’m almost afraid to cite too little... so many of the statements I’m writing feel like they should be supported by references, especially since this is a medical/scientific topic.

Also because as I am establishing the foundation of the problem I will address later on in my thesis, I feel maybe I won't be citing as much in subsequent sections?

I’m wondering if this is considered normal for a thesis, or if it’s too citation-heavy and I should try to consolidate/reduce them.

Would really appreciate any advice from people who have written theses or papers in similar fields.

This is literally my first time writing any scientific so please bear with me if this is a stupid question.

Thanks!
